Life size Reboard figures for I've Got the Music in Me
For Talpa's TV show I've Got the Music in Me, we produced life size figures made from Reboard. The celebrities were reproduced in sharp detail and at full scale, before taking on an eye catching role in one of the musical games in the studio.
From image to life size game element
I've Got the Music in Me is all about music. In the show, two teams compete against each other in a variety of musical games. Each team consists of a Dutch celebrity and someone from their personal circle. The show is hosted by Johnny de Mol and broadcast on SBS6.
One of the game rounds required life size figures of various celebrities. Our task was to transform these images into sturdy, freestanding figures that would make an impact in the TV studio.
The figures were produced from Re-board. This strong yet lightweight cardboard material is ideal for life size applications. Thanks to their sturdy construction, the figures remain stable while still being easy to move. Perfect for a TV production where set elements need to be positioned quickly and efficiently.
Centre stage in the studio
During the game, the life size figures are used as part of one of the game rounds. They appear in the studio as visual answer options for the contestants to choose from. The teams look at the different people and then decide which answer they believe is correct.
This means the figures are not simply decorative, but serve a functional purpose within the game itself. Displaying the celebrities at full scale creates a strong visual effect that fits perfectly with the energetic and colourful studio of I've Got the Music in Me.
