Cardboard event decor for the presentation of the Wine Guide

Published on: 04-11-2025

For the festive presentation of the Limburg Wine Guide 2025–2026 at Château St. Gerlach, we developed a striking, fully cardboard set made from Re-board. The guide, an annual publication by Navenant featuring the most beautiful vineyards, wine routes and tasting addresses in both Dutch and Belgian Limburg, called for a presentation that was at least as tasteful as its contents.

The setting: Château St. Gerlach filled with Limburg wines

On Thursday 23 October, winemakers from all over Dutch and Belgian Limburg gathered at the monumental Château St. Gerlach for the official presentation of the second edition of the Limburg Wine Guide 2025–2026. Despite the strong winds of storm Benjamin, almost every winemaker featured in the guide was present. The first copy was proudly presented to Camille Oostwegel Sr.

Amid tasting glasses filled with wines from, among others, De Steinberg, Aldeneyck, St. Martinus and De Apostelhoeve, the decor had to be not only decorative but also functional: guiding guests and creating photo moments.

The solution: Re-board banner & cardboard signpost

For the launch we developed two main objects that together tell one story: from guide to experience.

Re-board banner with organic base

Eye-catcher number one is the large Re-board banner featuring the cover of the Limburg Wine Guide 2025–2026. The banner rests on an organically shaped base, built up from multiple layers of Re-board. This makes it extremely stable, while still surprisingly light and easy to move. The slotted panel can simply be slid into the base on site, after which everything is neatly finished with a matching finishing strip.

On the front you see a stylish illustration with a wine bottle, glass, bunch of grapes and the outline of Limburg; at a glance it is clear what the guide is about: vineyards, wine routes and culinary addresses. The whole creates an elegant backdrop where guests naturally stop to take a photo. Ideal for social media and for capturing the event.

Cardboard signpost full of Limburg wine addresses

The second element in the styling is a cardboard signpost, made from different types of cardboard and also fitted with an organic base. Each arm of the column displays the names of the participating wine estates, allowing visitors to literally “look around” the Limburg wine map. The post has a warm, almost wooden appearance, while the crisp print on the signs ensures perfect legibility.

The challenge: stylish and sustainable event decor

Navenant was looking for a striking yet sustainable way to present the new wine guide. With Re-board we had exactly the right material to make this happen.

Why is Re-board a perfect fit here?

  • Extra strong yet lightweight, ideal for tall banners and freestanding objects that need to remain firmly in place during a busy event.

  • Sharp printing: logos, maps and vineyard names come out razor-sharp, which is important for both brand experience and recognition.

  • Easy assembly: the parts are delivered flat, assembled on site and can be dismantled just as quickly and taken along to the next event.
