Meet Britt!

As the team manager of the Shop Direct webshop, I can be found at Holbox every day. I started my career as a technical designer in the children's clothing industry, but I quickly realized I was looking for a more commercial role. That’s how I ended up at Holbox, where I feel completely at home! In addition to the commercial aspect, I can also fully express my creativity here. I love contributing to a better world, so I prefer working for a company that shares this vision.
I have now been working at Holbox for almost four years. In 2018, I started at the webshop, which was then called Kartonnenwinkel. What I am most proud of is the launch of our new webshop in January 2021, which also included a rebranding to Holbox Shop Direct.

The best part of working at the webshop—besides the amazing team—is that we get to manage a project from start to finish. Together with the client and the design studio, I get to create a creative display. Then, the artwork process begins, where I review the designs together with the DTP department. After that, I can follow the entire production process in our digital manufacturing facility, where I can see a simple cardboard sheet transform into a stunning display. The most exciting part? Spotting a display I worked on while out shopping! It’s amazing to see how our displays come to life in stores. Recently, I even saw our cardboard mannequin boxes featured in a Bauhaus commercial!
Over the past four years, I have worked on many incredible projects. One of my highlights was creating displays for De Bijenkorf in Amsterdam during Pride Amsterdam. Since our webshop specializes in digital production, we create many items for special events. For example, we designed a Food Truck and Food Tuk Tuk for Exclusive Networks’ events and market stalls and standing tables in Driscoll’s corporate branding. Even though these are often one-off pieces, each item is custom-made.
Our products have been featured in many trade fair booths across Europe. One of the most exciting projects was the exhibition stand for Xinaps—a fully cardboard trade show booth for an event in England.
Outside of work, I am still passionate about fashion. I love spending a day shopping, relaxing on a terrace, or enjoying a nice dinner with friends or family. Of course, all of this has to be balanced with regular workouts at the gym or dance classes.
And what’s still on my bucket list? A trip to Mexico and the USA!
